Norwegian Aqua has marked her official launch in Miami with the ship’s godfather, Emmy Award-winning actor Eric Stonestreet, on hand for the celebrations.
The ship and its sister, Norwegian Luna, which is under construction at Italy’s Fincantieri Monfalcone shipyard, bring a new era of Prima Plus Class ships to NCL.
The 156,300 gross-tonne ship, which accommodates 3,571 guests at double occupancy, has arrived with new restaurants and bars, the redesign of public spaces and the company’s newest in-house production of “Revolution: A Celebration of Prince”, the world’s first theatrical concert experience honouring the multi-Grammy® Award nominated and winner, Prince.
In other enhancements, the Mandara Spa and Salon has a new clay sauna, IV drip therapy and thalassotherapy loungers. The spa’s Thermal Suite also includes a charcoal sauna, a steam room, an ice room, a salt room and a thermal pool.
The Haven, NCL’s luxury hotel-within-a-hotel, has moved to the aft of the ship, and includes four new two-storey, three-bedroom Duplex Suites.
New restaurants include Thai-themed Sukhothai.
NCL has also unveiled its plans to reimagine Great Stirrup Cay, the company’s private island in the Bahamas, with new experiences debuting in the fourth quarter of 2025.
NCL’s new programme, More At Sea, provides travellers with an unlimited open bar featuring premium beverage brands, specialty dining meals; high-speed Wi-Fi minutes; and US$50 shore excursion credits at every port of call.
