MSC Cruises has confirmed orders for two additional World Class ships to be built by Chantiers de l’Atlantique in France. The vessels, currently referred to as World Class 5 and World Class 6, are scheduled for delivery in 2029 and 2030. Once completed, MSC’s World Class fleet will comprise six ships.

According to MSC Cruises, the new ships will include energy efficiency features such as dual-fuel engines prepared for future alternative fuels, shore power connectivity, and advanced wastewater treatment systems. These elements align with international maritime environmental standards.

The new ships will follow a district-style layout similar to the existing World Class vessels, accommodating a variety of passenger needs. MSC World Europa and MSC World America are already in service, while MSC World Asia and MSC World Atlantic are under construction and set to begin operations in 2026 and 2027 respectively.

In addition, MSC has released further details on the entertainment offering aboard MSC World Asia, which is due to enter service in December 2026.

New venues include The Clubhouse, a family activity space with games, bumper cars, and roller skating; and Luna Park, an updated two-deck venue with digital displays and a bar, designed to host interactive shows and DJ-led events. The Harbour, an outdoor park area, will feature an over-water swing ride, a 12-deck spiral dry slide, high ropes course, and food outlets. Other returning features include the World Promenade, World Theatre, and Panorama Lounge.

MSC World Asia will operate seven-night Mediterranean itineraries with ports of call including Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Messina, and Valletta during the 2026–2027 seasons. Embarkation is available at multiple ports.
