Alila Purnama, heading for Komodo Island
The 46-metre-long Alila Purnama consists of three decks and has been built by hand in the traditional style of a Phinisi, as used by the Bugis seafarers from south Sulawesi in Indonesia.
After the success of its launch in 2012, Alila Purnama, the luxury Phinisi from Alila Hotels and Resorts , will begin its tour of the Komodo Island region from May until September this year.
Alila Purnama, translated as The Full Moon, has accommodation for up to 10 guests, with a crew of 16.

Komodo National Park, located between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores, lies in the Coral Triangle – the global heart of marine bio- diversity.
The national park contains species such as wild boars, water buffalos, deer, monkeys and the Komodo dragons, the largest land-dwelling reptile in the world.
Komodo Island expeditions are available from May 3 to September 26, 2015.
