Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced five special voyages in 2026 and 2027 that will line up with rare solar eclipses across Europe.
Four sailings in August 2026 will offer views of a partial eclipse, with visibility ranging from around 80% to 93%, while a fifth voyage in 2027 will coincide with a total solar eclipse over the Mediterranean.
The Solar Eclipse Voyage Collection will take place on Seven Seas Grandeur, Seven Seas Mariner, Seven Seas Navigator and Seven Seas Voyager, with itineraries covering the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, and Northern Europe.
Onboard, guests will hear from experts in astronomy, physics and space exploration, including NASA engineers, astronaut instructors, and scientists. Activities will include stargazing sessions, lectures and discussions.
“Our Solar Eclipse Voyage Collection offers luxury travellers a front-row seat to one of Earth’s most extraordinary natural events while enjoying the unrivaled Regent experience,” said Wes D’Silva, chief commercial officer, Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Each sailing will also feature themed celebrations, from eclipse-inspired cocktails and desserts to commemorative Regent-branded viewing glasses. Deck parties and live music will add to the atmosphere, while the Pool Grill will transform into the Solar Eclipse Dinner Grill during eclipse hours.
Highlights include:
Scandinavian Serenade (July 2026), with lectures by health physicist Dr Gary Kramer.
Mighty Fjords & Nordic Grace (August 2026), featuring NASA astronaut instructor Lt Col Ken Verderame.
