Regent Seven Seas Cruises has marked a major construction milestone for its next-generation flagship, Seven Seas Prestige, as the ultra-luxury vessel floated out from dry dock on 27 November 2025.
Debuting Regent’s first new ship class in 10 years, Seven Seas Prestige is set to launch in December 2026 as Regent's seventh ship and the first of three Prestige-class ships.
“Seven Seas Prestige touching water for the first time marks an extraordinary moment for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, representing the culmination of years of planning and collaboration with our long-standing partners at Fincantieri," said Jason Montague, chief luxury officer for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
“The overwhelming response to this vessel affirms that discerning travellers recognise something truly exceptional is on the horizon; emphasised by the ship’s launch day which became our biggest single booking day for a new ship in our history.”
The float-out ceremony took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, where the traditional champagne-breaking ceremony and ribbon cutting took place. After a blessing by the shipyard chaplain, the dry dock flooded, transitioning the vessel to the outfitting pier.
Regent also confirmed that two additional Prestige-class ships are in the pipeline – one scheduled for 2030 and another for 2033.
