MANILA – Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay City, located about 60km south of this city, is constructing an additional 65 rooms, a heated swimming pool and team-building activity areas to be completed just in time for its grand opening in September.

General manager Alex Groizard said these additional facilities and features are aimed to strengthen the property’s hold on the market, particular meetings and conventions.

It is now operational with 70 rooms, two ballrooms and six smaller function rooms. Its cool temperature and proximity to Manila, combined with its vantage view to the world’s smallest volcano Taal, has made it a favorite day- trip destination for city folks.

The hotel was rebuilt over an existing property formerly known as Taal Vista Lodge. To date, about P300 million (approximately US$ 5.3 million) has been poured into the project, according to sources. The hotel is owned by taipan Henry Sy and is managed by Fuego Hotels and Properties Management Corporation.
