SINGAPORE – TMS Asia-Pacific has this week started collating data for its third annual Australian Travel and Hospitality Industry Salary Survey against the backdrop of the toughest economic environment seen in years.
TMS CEO, Gary Marshall, said the purpose of the annual survey is to provide an overview on industry trends on a year-on-year basis – irrespective of the environment.
“Coming at this critical moment in time, the information the 2008 salary survey will provide can be considered as being pivotal for the industry,” he said.
As with previous surveys, TMS is again inviting input from more than 4500 respondents ranging from company CEOs, managing directors and general managers through to middle management and frontline consultants.
TMS is also, for the first time, offering those taking part, the opportunity to win a $500 shopping voucher with Coles Myer stores simply by completing the survey.
Survey results will be released in late January/early February 2009.
Marshall said one of the key findings emanating from the 2007 Salary Survey Australia indicated that 80 percent of all respondents specified career progression as being ‘very important’ in both markets.
“It will be very interesting indeed to see just how different things this time around,” he said.
The survey, which takes about five minutes to complete, is readily available on the TMS website or the following link: http://tmscm.tmsap.com/rp/381/ContestForm.clsp?FormId=4242
