18 February 2002PENANG - Mutiara Beach Resort has sent out a statement to clarify what it says were rumours of its closure.
A statement reads, "Mutiara Beach Resort Penang would like to clarify the rumour that the resort has ceased operation recently.
"The Mutiara Beach Resort Penang is still operating its business as usual, and the rumour is definitely untruth," said hotel general manager, Peter Gibbons.
In operation since 1989, and a member of Leading Hotels of the World, the resort "continues to enjoy excellent patronage by guests including leisure and business," said Gibbons.
