KUALA LUMPUR - Lufthansa German Airlines will resume flights to Kuala Lumpur next March after an absence of four years.

The airline will operate four weekly services between Frankfurt and Kuala Lumpur via Bangkok from March 28, 2004. The flights on a B747-400 aircraft will depart Kuala Lumpur every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The airline suspended its passenger flights to Malaysia in 1999, citing poor load factor as one of the reasons. The airline said its decision to resume flights to Kuala Lumpur was because Malaysia is now a popular tourist destination and business centre.
