Thailand-based ONYX Hospitality Group is making its foray into Laos with the management of three Amari hotels.
The deal is made possible through a partnership agreement with Tang Charoen (TCR) Group Co., a company with diverse businesses, including construction, entertainment, food and beverage and retail based in Pakse, Laos.
The first Amari property in Vang Vieng is due to begin operations next year. The other two hotels, in Vientiane and Pakse, are scheduled to open in 2020.
Amari’s signature Amaya Food Gallery, Breeze Spa and creative meeting venues will be featured in each property.
Peter Henley, president and CEO of ONYX Hospitality Group, said, “Laos is emerging as one of Southeast Asia’s fastest growing destinations, with the on-going introduction of new flight routes and tourism infrastructure enhancements,” he added.
The three new hotels will add to ONYX Hospitality Group’s growing Amari portfolio, which presently consists of 14 operating properties and another eight under development.
