SINGAPORE – Global Hotel Management (GHM) has announced the termination of its management contract with The Andaman, Langkawi effective December 9.
GHM has been operating the resort since it opened in 2002. The resort, popular with golfers, is located on the Malaysian island of Langkawi, just off the west coast of the peninsula, and offers views of the island’s rainforest and mountains, as well as the Andaman Sea.
GHM also currently operates The Datai in Langkawi which was GHM’s first property opening in October 1993. Setting a new standard of luxury and Asian-inspired design when it opened, The Datai quickly became one of the worlds most sought-after and award-winning hideaway resorts.
Located on the north western tip of the lush tropical island of Langkawi The Datai is surrounded by centuries-old virgin rainforest with a private footpath leading to a white sand beach, swimming pool and spa, and nearby golf course.
The other properties in GHM’s portfolio are The Setai in Miami, The Nam Hai in Vietnam, The Legian in Bali, The Strand in Yangon, as well as The Chedi hotels in Muscat, Bali and Chiang Mai.
