Under the agreement, Singapore Airlines will add its ‘SQ’ designator code to Air China-operated flights between Singapore and Beijing. SilkAir will also add its ‘MI’ designator code to Air China-operated flights between Singapore and Chengdu.
Singapore Airlines and SilkAir customers can now enjoy more options when travelling between Singapore and China as a result of a new codeshare agreement with Air China.
Under the agreement, Singapore Airlines will add its ‘SQ’ designator code to Air China-operated flights between Singapore and Beijing. SilkAir will also add its ‘MI’ designator code to Air China-operated flights between Singapore and Chengdu.
On a reciprocal basis, Air China will add its ‘CA’ designator code to selected Singapore Airlines-operated flights between Singapore and Beijing and on SilkAir-operated flights between Singapore and Chengdu.
Singapore Airlines operates 21 weekly services to Beijing, while SilkAir operates 14 weekly services to Chengdu. Air China operates 14 weekly services between Beijing and Singapore and seven weekly services between Chengdu and Singapore.
Singapore Airlines and SilkAir already have a codeshare agreement with Air China subsidiary Shenzhen Airlines for flights between Singapore and Shenzhen.
