In 2016 the Year of the Monkey, Beijing Capital Airlines (Capital Airlines) unveiled a series of Paul Frank monkey-themed planes at Haikou Meilan International Airport on September 10.
The collaboration with the American cartoonist Paul Frank pays tribute to the Year of the Monkey, and is based on a theme revolving around the much-publicised Paul Frank monkey, Julius.
Its image is featured on the plane exterior, throughout the cabins and other onboard facilities.
Paul Frank expects to enter into further similar creative collaborations with other airlines, according to the statement.
