Location and History
Located off Interstate 40 at the Rio Grande exit, this is one of the major commercial players in this tourist-rich area near two major museums, the zoo, botanic garden, nature center, Tingley Beach, Sawmill Market, and Old Town shops and galleries.
The location is convenient, three short blocks north of the plaza, but the hotel itself rises up on the edge of an industrial area, a modern 11-story structure pleated with smoked bay windows.
