Macau’s Galaxy partners Monaco’s SBM; eyes Japan

GEG and SBM look forward to jointly developing and operating an IR in Japan, following the passage of the Integrated Resort Promotion Bill last December, the companies added in the statement.

Macau-based casino operator Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd and Monaco casino firm Societe des Bains de Mer et du Cercle des Etrangers a Monaco, also known as S.B.M announced on March 29 a formal partnership to “work together on the development and operation of entertainment businesses including integrated resort (IR) projects in Asia Pacific”, according to a joint press release.

GEG and SBM look forward to jointly developing and operating an IR in Japan, following the passage of the Integrated Resort Promotion Bill last December, the companies added in the statement.

SBM is majority-owned by the Mediterranean principality of Monaco, and since July 2015, is 5 percent owned by Galaxy.
