China’s innovative budget carrier Spring Airlines launched a "love flight" from Shanghai to Jeju, South Korea recently, carrying 22 singles on an inflight blind date, according to local media China Aviation Daily.

The 22 only met in person for the first time after the plane took off, according to Spring Airlines, which organised the promotional event.

The airline started off the journey with an ice-breaker game at the airport terminal, to well, break the ice.

In Jeju, the Chinese couples embarked on a four-day and three-night tour to get to know each other better, it said.
