The 178-key Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen is the group’s newest luxury
property located in China’s Greater Bay Area scheduled to open on 20
January.
The hotel is housed on the highest levels of Tower One of UpperHills,
a 79-storey building in the Futian business district. The rooms and
suites offer sweeping vistas of the cityscape, Lotus Hill Park, Bijia
Mountain Park and Shenzhen Bay.

On the 78th floor, The Mandarin Club offers a private lounge
experience for guests with dining options, while The Mandarin Spa
provides a selection of wellness and beauty therapies, a fitness centre
and a 30m indoor swimming pool.
Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen features 8 dining experiences that
include Cantonese fine-dining by Michelin-starred Chef Fei; Spanish,
European, Japanese and Pan-Asian restaurants; a rooftop bar offering
bespoke cocktails and rare malt whiskies; and a cake shop serving
patisseries from the hotel’s Afternoon Tea menu.
The new hotel is also fully equipped to comfortably host business
meetings and events. Adjoined to the 79-storey building, that Mandarin
Oriental, Shenzhen is taking up residence in, is The Cube — a cuboid
shaped architectural building that offers 1,500sqm of event and meeting
space.

The Cube features a structural concept that allows long spans for the
ballroom spaces. These include the 700sqm Grand Ballroom and the
Mandarin Ballroom and Oriental Ballroom, which each features 400sqm of
space and floor-to-ceiling windows. Additionally, there’s a 900sqm
sheltered outdoor event space that offers scenic views of the park and
the city skyline.
Planners also have the option of booking The Gallery, located on the
77th floor of the hotel, the highest banquet space in Shenzhen.
In light of its grand opening, Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen is rolling
out a special ‘Opening Offer’ package, which comprises booking a room
for CNY 3,088 (USD 490) a night to enjoy accommodation in a Deluxe View
Room, daily CNY 1,000 (USD 160) hotel credits that can be spent
throughout the hotel’s restaurants and bars, and a personalised welcome
amenity kit.
