Under Accor’s major expansion plans, the hotel operator, deemed the
largest in Australia, has opened its first The Sebel property in
Whitsundays in north Queensland, Australia.
The
Sebel Whitsundays Airlie Beach offers 54 keys, comprising a selection
of one-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom
penthouses, and four-bedroom presidential suites.
Among its amenities include a 15m resort-style swimming pool, heated
outdoor spa, fitness centre and outdoor dining area with barbecue
facilities.
The new property is located a few minutes’ walk from downtown Airlie
Beach and opposite the Port of Airlie marina, where daily cruises and
island connections depart. Its proximity to the beach is also ideal for
vacationers intending to visit the Great Barrier Reef.
According to Simon McGrath, chief executive officer of Accor Pacific,
The Seibel brand promises to bring “quality and credibility to the
serviced apartments sector, which is rapidly growing in popularity”.
McGrath added that Accor is seeing “strong visitor numbers at our
Whitsundays properties and we’re forecasting greater growth with
Queensland border restrictions now easing.”
The opening of The Sebel Whitsundays Airlie Beach adds on to the
growing list of over 30 The Sebel properties across Australia and New
Zealand. Along with other Accor properties, The Sebel offers flexible
cancellations and enhanced hygiene and safety protocols.
