CWT and Etihad have entered a partnership to drive a carbon-offset initiative for CWT client bookings made on Etihad-operated flights. It will be calculated using ICAO Carbon Emissions Calculations methodology.

From 1 January to 31 March 2022, this initiative will see contributions going to Etihad’s official carbon-offset climate action programmes in Makame Savannah REDD project in Tanzania; Peru’s Cordillera Azul National Park; and Indonesia’s Katingan Mentaya Project.

Beyond this, CWT and Etihad will continue to collaborate in promoting the carbon-neutral agenda to deliver tangible carbon footprint solutions.

CWT is the launch partner for Etihad’s Corporate Conscious Choices programme, which is designed with rewards and incentives to support pro-environmental, social and governance initiatives and employee behaviour.

Last year, the aviation industry had highlighted a need for airlines to adopt carbon-neutral goals as travellers increasingly demand eco-friendly options.
