Hospitality platform Servy and travel retail technology company
Inflyter recently announced an alliance to launch an integrated
ecommerce platform that seeks in providing “a more convenient and
connected digital experience” for travellers.
The goal is to create an online marketplace with a single shopping
and pre-ordering service that showcases all retailers, brands and
products available at the airport. This includes food & beverage
options, travel essentials, and duty-free categories of fashion,
cosmetics, electronics and more.
With this new online marketplace, travellers can browse all
commercial offerings available at the airport they’re flying out from
before they leave their homes or hotels, and even save time at the
airport by pre-ordering and purchasing in advance, or while they are
waiting to depart. It includes various delivery and collection options
including in-store collection, and delivery at gate and in-lounge.
“With purchases and time at the airport being increasingly planned,
we know travellers want to have advance access to an integrated digital
shopping solution to help them reduce stress before departure (or
minimize anxiety at the airport),” said Wassim Saadé, founder and CEO of
Inflyter.
Echoing Saadé’s statement, Servy Chief Experience Officer Jeff Livney
believes that the creation of such a platform will present “a way to
fast track the delivery of a truly integrated, omnichannel, e-commerce
marketplace across all shopping categories” that will “elevate the
airport experience for travellers while also strengthening the business
and commercial value for our airport and hospitality and retail
partners.”

Servy and Inflyter also aims to expand their reach and bring this
digitised airport shopping experience to airports across Europe, the
Middle East and Africa.
