Upgrading.cc launches ‘E-Retail’ upsell option for hoteliers

The Singapore-based start-up, which is the world’s first online platform that allows hotels and service apartments to upsell at no investment cost, added a new E-Retail feature last week. Customers can select from a myriad of offerings ranging from food and beverage options to transportation and spa treatments, along with early check-in and late check-out options and other additional benefits to complete their stay.

Hotel partners can now offer their products and services as value add-ons to customers with confirmed room reservations on travel platform Upgrading.cc.

The Singapore-based start-up, which is the world’s first online platform that allows hotels and service apartments to upsell at no investment cost, added a new E-Retail feature last week. Customers can select from a myriad of offerings ranging from food and beverage options to transportation and spa treatments, along with early check-in and late check-out options and other additional benefits to complete their stay.

Hotels can decide on the type of offerings and price points they want, and choose to include them as part of their special promotions or packages to attract more sales during festive seasons or special occasions like Valentine’s Day or National Day. These packages would hugely benefit single room sales.

Customers can select the additional benefits after successfully purchasing a room upgrade, promotion or package on Upgrading.cc. Once a selection is made, they will have to pay an upfront 10% of the total fee to the platform, with the balance of the 90% payable at the hotel. Everything will be arranged prior to customers’ arrivals at the hotel, saving time upon check-in.
