SEOUL – To celebrate this year’s national tourism campaign "Visit Korea Year " and the World Cup in 2002, visitors to Korea can enjoy a whole range of surprises, gifts and special discounts during their stay. Hotel rooms will also be cheaper following the Korean government’s decision to suspend the usual 10 percent government tax on all room rates.

This concession on hotel taxes is available to all foreigners and also to Koreans holding foreign passports throughout 2001 and 2002. For more information, visit the KNTO web site on: www.visitkorea.or.kr
