People who suffer from wanderlust have an innate desire to travel, and a recent Klook survey revealed that most of them come from Hong Kong and Singapore (can’t say that we were surprised).

In its 2018 events survey, Klook found that Hong Kong is home to the world’s most frequent travelers with 29% of Hong Kong people taking more than five overseas trips last year.

Coming in second, 21% of Singaporeans report travelling abroad more than five times in the past year, while 26% travelled two to five times. Rounding out the top 5, nearly 25% of people surveyed in the UK, 23% in Taiwan, and 20% in Malaysia have traveled internationally two to five times.

In addition, the travel activities booking platform also discovered that in the past 12 months, majority of consumers (51%) had made bookings of different destinations within a day. Nearly 10% of users booked experiences of multiple destinations within an hour, and 1% of them even booked within a minute, showcasing how eager and frequent travellers are when taking overseas trips.

For travellers who are looking for a unique experience on their next trip, Klook has provided three suggestions on what to do:

1. Strasbourg Christmas Market Walking Tour
Traipsing along the little lanes of the Strasbourg, in the historic region of Alsace in northeastern France, the tour will enable travellers to explore the magnificent Strasbourg Cathedral, wander through the traditional Christmas market, unpack local traditions, and sample signature local treats along the way.

2. Nikko Day Tour
If you’re hoping to catch the tail of changing maple leaves in Japan this fall, check out Klook’s Nikko Day Tour from Tokyo. Travellers will be immersed in a palette of rich reds and oranges as they visit the Lake Chuzenji, a gorgeous natural site located high up in the mountains. Up next, watch the mesmerising rush of Kegon Falls to feel the power of nature. The amazing day caps off with an inspiring walk through Toshugu Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage site that doubles as a sacred mausoleum.

3. Mr. Show Ticket Seoul
Perfect for a girls’ night out, Mr. Show Ticket Seoul is staging a series of women-only shows in Seoul this November and early December. In collaboration with musical director Kolleen Park, the all-male troupe combines steamy dance moves, blood-pumping music, and ultra-sultry style for an unforgettable performance.
