Patina Maldives, Fari Islands wins Reggie Shiu Development of the
Year award at Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific (HICAP) 2021.
The award recognises an outstanding single development of the year
that has accomplished success in areas such as overcoming challenges to
completion, scale, innovation, quality, performance, and return on
investment.
Opened in May 2021 as part of the integrated destination Fari
Islands, Patina Maldives is the inaugural flagship property of lifestyle
brand Patina Hotels & Resorts, the latest concept by Capella Hotel
Group.
The resort is the first in the Maldives to feature a 100%
solar-powered recreation centre, a dive centre, and a kids’ club. It
also has an entire island dedicated to the staff to provide community
and educational support. The Vocational Education and Training Centre on
Fari Campus was established in partnership with Ecole hôtelière de
Lausanne.
Developed by Pontiac Land Group, Patina Maldives offers 90
contemporary one- to three-bedroom beach and pool villas, 20 beach
suites and nine dining venues.
Other finalists in the award category are Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok
at Chao Phraya River, Thailand; and PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay,
Singapore.
