PATA's highest individual award goes to Elly Hutabarat

Elly is chairperson at Ayuberga, GSA for the Saudi Arabian Airlines, chairperson at Intrareps, commissioner emeritus of Coca Cola Amatil Indonesia, and commissioner of PAN Maritime Wira Pawitra - Shipping Company.

PATA Life Membership has been awarded to Elly Hutabarat, president director - PanTravel, Indonesia. The award is the association’s highest individual honour and recognises significant leadership and invaluable dedication to PATA.

Elly is chairperson at Ayuberga, GSA for the Saudi Arabian Airlines, chairperson at Intrareps, commissioner emeritus of Coca Cola Amatil Indonesia, and commissioner of PAN Maritime Wira Pawitra - Shipping Company.

She was president for the Indonesia–Australia Business Council (2004 – 2006) and the Asean Tourism Association (2009-2011), and is still a board member of PATA, and president at the Association of Ticketing Agents in Indonesia (ASTINDO). 

The PATA Chairperson’s Award was presented by Dr. Chris Bottrill, dean of fine and applied arts, and director, international, at Capilano University in North Vancouver, Canada, to PATA life member, Dato Haji Azizan Noordin, the former CEO of the Langkawi Development Authority. 

Noordin retired from Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (Tourism Malaysia) when he was the deputy director general (promotion). He was responsible for overseeing the operations of the organisation and the promotional efforts of all 44 Tourism Malaysia overseas offices. 

The PATA Face of the Future award for 2019 was presented to Flori-Anne Dela Cruz, youth representative to the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) board of directors.
