After unveiling its newest home-away-from-home hospitality concept, HOMM, which opened in December 2021 in Phuket, Banyan Tree has chosen Phuket as its preferred location once again for the launch of its flagship Banyan Tree Veya brand.

While HOMM offers the comforts and sensibilities of home, Banyan Tree Veya Phuket aims to provide a range of bespoke wellness programmes that offers a respite from each traveller’s daily life.

The new 23-villa resort is set within a quiet enclave in Laguna Phuket, situated a few minutes’ walk from Bangtao Beach. The property features a Wellbeing Center that houses Thailand's first-ever White Room for sensory detox and meditative practice, and a traditional herb farm-pharmacy workshop opening soon.

Wellness experiences in Banyan Tree Veya Phuket mainly surround what the brand dubs ‘embodiment therapies’ administered by certified multidisciplinary wellbeing hosts trained in eastern medicine, naturopathy and coaching. Each guest will be privately assessed and have a personalised itinerary curated especially for their needs.

Among the wellness treatments are classes touching on breath work, sound therapy and guided imagery meditation techniques; intuitive forms of dance that target balance and stability of the mind and body; rehabilitative floatation therapy that combines stretching and meditational sound therapy for a restorative sensory experience; and lifestyle workshops aimed at introducing daily wellbeing rituals.

The wellness experience extends to the resort’s F&B menus, featuring Asian-Mediterranean fusion cuisine which have been specially created around the theme of ‘Fuel-Balance-Repair’. There are also resident nutritionists who are able to curate tailored menus for guests with special dietary needs or preferences.

Additionally, Banyan Tree Veya Phuket prioritises restorative sleep for their guests. Each luxury villa features organic cotton bedlinen, black-out curtains, nightly aromatherapy, sleep music and a choice of pillows. Accommodations also include wellness amenities such as a wellbeing mini-bar, yoga mats, sound therapy bowls and exercise stretch bands.
