Tiger Airways is now Tigerair

SINGAPORE – Tiger Airways is now Tigerair, following the launch of its new corporate identity yesterday, at Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal 2. Besides the change in name, Tigerair has also unveiled its new logo, which sees the omission of the tiger, that has now leapt away to make way for a contemporary grey rounded font typography, with blushing orange accents.

Explaining the reason behind the brand refresh, Koay Peng Yen, group chief executive officer of Tiger Airways Holdings said, “We have initiated a series of changes since late last year, and this brand identity should be seen as a reinforcement of our commitment towards a better and bolder Tigerair.”

As at 30 June 2013, the Group’s fleet comprises 45 Airbus A320-family aircraft, averaging under three years of age. The Group operates an extensive network covering over 50 destinations across 13 countries in the Asia Pacific.

To-date, the Singapore-born low-cost carrier has lined up a series of plans which includes enabling mobile and web check-in. Customers can also now make changes to their bookings online, as well as pre-order their preferred meal choice on all fl ights.

“Leisure travel is all about accumulating great experiences and memories. We hope that the new Tigerair can represent relaxation, joy and adventure in the hearts of our customers,” added Koay.
