Trafalgar, has partnered with Switzerland Tourism to create the world's first-ever fully "Swisstainable" travel itinerary.
The exclusive tour, in line with Switzerland's commitment to
sustainability, is designed to support natural and social resources
while reducing carbon emissions.
As part of the partnership, Trafalgar is offering an eight-day
journey through Zurich, St. Moritz, Zermatt, Geneva, and Lucerne,
featuring "Swisstainable" accommodations, experiences, meals, and
transportation options such as train travel on the Glacier Express and
Golden Pass Train Line.
In addition to exploring the Swiss Alps, guests will have the
opportunity to participate in a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experience that
supports small, women-owned local businesses in Zurich.
During a walking tour led by a local guide, travellers will learn
about the medieval history of the city and current topics of social
solidarity, as well as the ethical production and conscious consumption
of chocolate. Guests will also be introduced to the work done by Essen
für Alle (Food for All), which distributes food to immigrants and
refugees living below the poverty line in Zurich.
This three-year partnership aims to introduce a range of
"Swisstainable" products within Trafalgar’s Switzerland programme as
well as sister brands, Costsaver, Insight Vacations, and Luxury Gold.
Pascal Prinz, director global accounts & emerging markets,
Switzerland Tourism, expressed his delight at seeing Trafalgar launch
its first fully "Swisstainable" itinerary and said that the partnership
will further help position Switzerland as one of the most sustainable
travel destinations globally.
The first departure of Trafalgar’s "Swisstainable" itinerary from Trafalgar will take place on 30 April.
