In collaboration with Mandarin Oriental, HSBC Premier card members can enjoy an exclusive HSBC Premier Family experience combining five-star hospitality at the Singapore Zoo this Saturday, 13 August.

The invitation for the closed-door private event has been extended to select members, allowing them and their families to have the zoo all to themselves for several hours before it opens to public.

The highlight of the event is the family fun race that kicks off at 7am, taking families on a route around the zoo for them to observe the animals while getting their fitness on.

By taking part in the race, families will play their part in contributing back to the environment, as HSBC will pledge to plant a tree for every 1.8km distance covered by each participant. This initiative is part of HSBC’s continue efforts in creating a more sustainable future.

After the race, families will adjourn to Forest Lodge. There, they will be treated to a wholesome breakfast spread created by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group's executive chef Eric Tan, who will incorporate locally- and responsibly-sourced ingredients into the specially curated menu.

At the lodge, families can also enjoy a myriad of kids-friendly activities such as:
• Art workshop: Children will be guided on creating art pieces based on themes surrounding sustainability and a green future.
• Face painting: A mother-daughter professional painter duo can apply child-safe, natural paints on children for them to resemble their favourite animal at the zoo.
• Animal enrichment: Parents and children can work together to create enrichment devices and toys for the animals at the zoo using recycled materials such as egg cartons.
• Build a Bic: Teams will be tasked to build a kid’s bicycle from scratch which will then be donated to underprivileged children.

Mandarin Oriental’s Cycle for More Bic-cation gives travellers the chance of embarking on a sustainable and eco-friendly adventure in Singapore on two wheels.

Each nightly Bic-cation stay includes complimentary usages of bicycles for both adults and children; specially designed cycling experiences mapped out by Mandarin Oriental; healthy and sustainable snacks; guaranteed early check-in at 12pm and late check-out at 5pm for club rooms; double upgrade from Deluxe Room to Marina Bay View room (subject to availability); and complimentary bed and breakfast for the third and fourth occupants.
