Six Senses is adding a Swiss ski resort to its stable, unveiling plans to open the Six Senses Crans-Montana this December.

Located near Crans' main gondola, the ski-in, ski-out property will offer guests access to nearly 140km of open slopes.

Six Senses Crans-Montana's 45 Swiss chalet-inspired accommodations will include a mix of rooms and one- and two-bedroom suites, each featuring stone, oak and slate decor elements and furniture crafted from solid wood and natural fabrics.

The resort will be home to two restaurants, including all-day dining brasserie Wild Cabin, which will showcase classic Swiss cuisine, and a Japanese-inspired concept called Byakko. Byakko's menu will include sushi, fish, grilled meats and hot pots, among other Japanese-influenced dishes.

A bar will also be on offer, serving up sake blends and cocktails and, on select nights, hosting live music.

Chief among the resort's wellness amenities will be a 1,950sqm Six Senses Spa, comprising nine treatment rooms, a fitness area, a yoga studio and wet facilities like an indoor pool, a rooftop pool, a steam room, a hammam, a hot tub and a cold plunge pool.

Additionally, a Biohack Recovery Lounge will offer access to "smart tech" recovery devices like NormaTec compression boots and Hypervolt percussion massagers.

The resort will operate year-round.

The Six Senses Crans-Montana will be the sixth Six Senses property in Europe, joining outposts in France, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.

The Six Senses brand is part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio.
