Garrya Tongsai Bay, which opens its doors on 15 December on Thailand’s Koh Samui, will become the latest addition to the new Garrya brand of well-being-centred hotels by the Banyan Tree Group.

And it’s not just the adults whose well-being is being taken care of. The Kids’ Club will offer yoga and stretching, and spa treatments for the youngsters at 8LEMENTS SPA.

Yet, kids don’t have it all their own way. The adults-only Half Moon Pool, one of the resort’s two swimming pools, offers a space with bay views and, importantly, peace and quiet.

Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui joins Garrya Huzhou Lucun and Garrya Xi’an Lintong in China, and Garrya Nijo Castle Kyoto in Japan.

The 82-suite property has unobstructed views of the Gulf of Thailand, and a stretch of sandy beach frontage on the north-eastern side of the island.

Most suites and villas feature a signature outdoor bath with a view and come in a range of family-friendly configurations.

Digital workers are not forgotten, either, with a dedicated 24-hour co-working space just off the lobby.

Dining venues are Rhoy Rhoy, offering Thai cuisine; Fish Tales for local seafood dishes, and EVOL, which serves vegan options, with majority of ingredients coming from the resort’s own garden and local farmers.

The property is located 15 minutes by car from Samui International Airport.
