Valerie Loy has been appointed as Club Med’s new vice president, marketing, in East, South Asia and Pacific.
She will lead the marketing team in the region, leveraging on her
experience as a digital and social native with a special focus on
data-driven integrated and omni-channel marketing.
“As travel behaviours evolve and continue to impact how we engage and
stay relevant to our guests, it is more important than ever to leverage
current trends and tools that enable valuable insight into the future
of travel," said Rachael Harding, chief executive officer of ESAP. "This
will require innovative approaches as we continue the next phase of
strategic growth within the region."
In her new role, Loy will also focus on new resort openings in Asia,
including Club Med Kiroro Grand, Club Med’s fifth Japanese resort and
fourth ski resort in Hokkaido, opening lin December this year, and Club
Med Borneo, Kota Kinabalu, in 2024.
Loy boasts 15 years of experience in the hospitality sector, and most
recently served as regional director of public relations and marketing
communications in the Asia Pacific region for Four Seasons Hotels and
Resorts.
Prior to this, Loy has spent her career with notable brands like
Swissotel, Pan Pacific, and Raffles Hotel. She has a background in
consumer electronics and public relations and is well-known in the
industry for being a key speaker at conferences on topics such as
influencer marketing. She has led award-winning teams and served as a
judge at industry awards.
Harding added that Loy's background in hospitality, leadership, and
data-driven animation will enhance Club Med and identify new
opportunities for their regional resorts.
