Salahuddin Mohd Ariffin has taken the reins as the Director of Tourism Malaysia, Singapore, effective August 2021.
He succeeds Edzuar Zar Ayob Azari, who is now in the Putrajaya head office after ending his Singapore tenure.
Through his 31 years of experience with Tourism Malaysia, Salahuddin had served two overseas offices — Frankfurt, Germany and New York, US — as well as in a regional office in Kuching, Sarawak.
In his new role, Salahuddin will be promoting Malaysia to the market and rebuild while reinforcing tourism relationships and cooperation in the industry.
Tourism Malaysia affirms its commitment to the market and welcomes any innovative and creative ideas from the travel trade in restoring the tourist traffic from Singapore to Malaysia once borders are open.
