Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed Franck Droin as the new general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Macau.
Prior to his current appointment, Droin served as hotel manager at
one of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group's flagship properties in Thailand,
where he oversaw all operations departments and played a key role in
Mandarin Oriential, Bangkok's renovation during the pandemic.
A native French and German national, Droin began his career in the
hospitality industry after completing his diploma from Les-Roches Hotel
Management School, Switzerland in 2001. From there, he went on to gain
extensive international experience through placements in the Middle
East, Africa, Europe and Southeast Asia.
Droin is a fluent speaker of French, German and English, and also
holds a Master of Business Administration in International Management
from Reims Management School. He is passionate about sustainability and
has spoken at sustainability forums in Southeast Asia and Europe.
