Choe Peng Sum to succeed as new CEO of Pan Pacific

In his new capacity, Choe will be responsible for the operations of PPHG’s hotels and serviced apartments, marketing and brand standards, as well as business development and expansion under its Pan Pacific and Parkroyal brands. 

Former Frasers Hospitality CEO Choe Peng Sum has been tapped to head up Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) from September 1, parent company UOL Group announced on Friday.

In his new capacity, Choe will be responsible for the operations of PPHG’s hotels and serviced apartments, marketing and brand standards, as well as business development and expansion under its Pan Pacific and Parkroyal brands. 

He brings with him over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry across the globe, having worked in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Japan, Scotland, United Kingdom and Germany.

Choe will report to Liam Wee Sin, group chief executive of UOL Group, which owns Pan Pacific Hotels. 

Choe takes over the reigns from Lothar Nessmann, who stepped down as CEO on June 30 after slightly over two years.
