Regent Seven Seas Cruises has appointed Lisa Pile as vice president
sales & general manager Asia Pacific, as part of sweeping changes
recently announced by parent Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings for its
senior leadership and regional appointments.
Regent’s
vice president sales for Australia and New Zealand operations since
2015, Pile will now lead the local sales team and outbound department
across the region, responsible for the strategic expansion, vision and
growth of the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific market.
Pile’s luxury travel experience includes working for Raffles Hotels
& Resorts in Singapore, Kempinski Hotels & Resorts in China and
Tanzania, and The Sukhothai Bangkok in Thailand.
Moving up the corporate ladder is Jason Worth, following his
appointment as Oceania Cruises vice president sales & general
manager Asia Pacific.
Worth joined Oceania Cruises in 2011 and was most recently vice
president sales Australia & New Zealand, a position which he has
held for more than three years.
Previously, Worth held the position of vice president finance &
accounting Asia Pacific at parent company, Norwegian Cruise Line
Holdings, with roles in finance, treasury and investor relations at its
predecessor, Prestige Cruise Holdings.
Ponant's new CEO for APAC
Also on the move, luxury expedition cruising company Ponant has named Chris Hall as chief executive, Asia Pacific.
New areas within Ponant's Asia Pacific team include a newly
created maritime operations and logistics department as well as the
expansion of Ponant's expedition and destination development area which
sees the introduction of new product roles for the enhancement of guest
enrichment and pre and post touring offers.
Ponant plans to accelerate the range of experiences across the APAC
business through additional ship deployment. This includes Ponant's
recently refurbished sailing yacht Le Ponant and the company's newest
vessel: the world's only luxury Icebreaker, Le Commandant Charcot, which
departed from New Zealand for the first time on 14 February 2023.
These two vessels will join Le Lapérouse and Le Soléal which have operated locally for several years.
