Dwell in a Yotel in Ginza

The 244 rooms in Yotel Tokyo will feature the brand’s signature robotic concierge called Yobot, motorised smart beds and technologies that enable touchless check-ins and check-outs.

The hotel is located fifteen minutes away by foot from Tokyo station, which operates the city's main Shinkansen high-speed rail terminal, and the Narita Express, the city's main gateway to Narita International Airport. The famous dining and shopping district of Ginza just lays at the foot of Yotel Tokyo.

Amenities at Yotel Tokyo include public social spaces where guests can eat, drink, work and play; a 24/7 fitness centre; a grab-and-go cafe where guests can buy readily available food and beverages as takeaway; meeting space; and an outdoor terrace.

Yotel Tokyo plays a part in Yotel’s expansion plan of diversifying its portfolio across major cities in Japan, including Sapporo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe. The hospitality group is additionally working on introducing YotelAir to serve as accommodation for guests transiting at airports and train stations.

A House in Shibuya

Swire Hotels, together with Tokyu Corporation and Tokyu Department Store, will collectively launch a new luxury hotel in Shibuya under The House Collective brand. This will mark the very first time that The House Collective forays outside China.

The new hotel is planned to be part of the Tokyu Department Store’s flagship store set in the lively neighbourhood of Shibuya. The House will be designed to serve as a peaceful retreat from hustle and bustle of the city, while also offering high-end shopping at guests’ doorstep.

Judging from the other House properties in China which all have been uniquely designed with its own cultural character and architecture inspired by the locations they’re based in — such as Beijing’s prominent art scene, Shanghai’s high fashion style, and Chengdu’s history and tea culture — it seems likely that the House’s property in Shibuya may similarly take on the district’s fashionable and vibrant vibes.

Hinting that there is more to come for The House Collective outside China, Swire Hotel’s deputy chairman Toby Smith says that thegroup is looking to “expand into new cities throughout the Asia Pacific region”.

“Our partners Tokyu Group and LCRE, share our vision of creating a new and vibrant guest experience which, with the opening of our new House will offer world-class hospitality for both locals and visitors to Tokyo,’ Smith added.
