The Mimaru family-friendly apartment hotel group is expanding rapidly
in Japan with several new opening’s taking the brand’s presence in
Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto to 25 hotels.
In the capital, the new locations are Asakusa, the district with the
feel of old Tokyo; Nihombashi, where the atmosphere of the feudal Edo
period lingers, and Ikebukuro, the emerging capital of ‘Cool Japan’ with
manga, anime, arts, and games bringing excitement to the streets.
In Osaka – venue for Expo 2025 – two new Mimaru properties will have excellent airport access.
Mimaru
lends itself to family groups with its themed rooms. These include The
Pokémon Room, where a huge stuffed Snorlax and original Pokémon-themed
tableware await guests.
Visitors can also play "Find the Hidden Ninja!" in the Ninja Room,
created under the supervision of the Japan Ninja Council, with displays
of "shuriken" (ninja stars) and hidden scrolls and ninja motifs.
Other themed rooms include a Premium Party Room furnished with a
sushi counter and an Ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock print) Room adorned
with works by Hokusai and original Mimaru works created by modern
ukiyo-e artists.
