Get ready to flip another prawn on the barbie – hospitality Aussie-style is heading to Singapore.
Sydney-based TFE Hotels is launching its Adina and Vibe brands later
this year with welcome baskets of chips, tea, nuts, and other goodies
all the way from Australia.
And if that’s not enough the 88-key Adina Serviced Apartments
Singapore Orchard will offer an Australian-inspired playlist and the
scent of Australia [a nice one, we hope] when it opens in July 2022.
Said TFE Hotels' CEO, Antony Ritch, “From our initial expansion to
Europe and New Zealand, we have always envisioned and planned for Adina
to be a truly global brand, so a move into Asia was a natural step for
us.”
TFE Hotels and its joint venture partner Far East Hospitality last
year launched Quincy Hotel in Melbourne, firming up the links between
South-east Asia and Australia by offering Asian culinary delights such
as salted eggs and banh-mi and bubble tea.
“With
the launch of Quincy Hotel Melbourne last year, we succeeded in
bringing the sights and sounds of South-east Asia to Melbourne,” Ritch
said. “And now we look forward to bringing Australian hospitality to
Singapore.”
The 256-room Vibe Hotel Singapore Orchard – the first Vibe Hotel to
open outside of Australia – is expected to launch in the final quarter
of 2022.
Far East Hospitality CEO Arthur Kiong said the return of the Kangaroo
Route flight paths between Australia and the United Kingdom, with
stopovers in Singapore, also provided an opportunity to not only
encourage more stopovers, but to attempt to lengthen their stay with new
experiences.
Those
experiences at the Adina Singapore Orchard will include pushbikes and a
curated map, to allow guests to explore the surrounding neighbourhood
like a local.
