To offer hospitality experiences worth their salt, Regent Taipei and
Silks Place Tainan, both part of Silks Hotel Group, are collaborating
with Taiwanese salt fields to champion sustainable development and
revive the historic salt industry.
Regent Taipei has partnered with Zhou Nan Salt Field, one of the last
two remaining sun-dried salt fields on Taiwan's southwest coast, to
feature locally sourced Taiwanese salt products at Robin's Grill,
located on the second floor of Regent Taipei. The steakhouse offers a
"Salt Sommelier" service for guests to enhance their dining experience,
extending it to unique salads and desserts to create an exceptional
"farm-to-table" experience.
At Regent Taipei's Wellspring Spa, a holistic "farm-to-skin"
treatment incorporates salt, from exfoliating scrub to post-treatment
snacks.
In the south, Silks Place Tainan has joined forces with the "Salt
Field Adoption Program" with Taiwan Patron Cultural & Creative Co,
which operates Jingzijiao Wapan Salt Fields in Beimen, Tainan. This
partnership integrates harvested sea salt into Silks Place Tainan's
restaurant ingredients and providing mugwort bath salts for guests,
aligning with the hotel's commitment to sustainable dining practices,
embracing Taiwan's local produce.
Silks Place Tainan also introduces a curated "Salt" family room
package, immersing guests in salt farming traditions. After hands-on
salt harvesting, guests enjoy a fragrant salt halide tofu pudding made
with natural coagulants. The package includes a three-day, two-night
stay at Silks Place Tainan's Family Suite with breakfast. A
complimentary full experience is offered to one child under 11 years
old.
By sharing Taiwan's finest ingredients, Silks Hotel Group is looking
to embody the farm-to-table, farm-to-skin, and farm-to-learn concepts,
promoting sustainable practices.
