Novotel goes to infinity and beyond for families

Not only has Disney’s and Pixar’s new animated Lightyear film arrived in theatres, it has also touched down in Novotel’s hotels spanning over 50 countries around the world.

Nadège Keryhuel, global vice president, midscale brands at Accor likens the film’s plot of Buzz Lightyear journeying into space to travellers preparing for a trip especially since the both involve exploring and discovering a destination, “handling unusual situations and embracing the unexpected are all delightful parts of the travel experience.”

Families staying at these participating hotels, numbering more than 500 globally, will receive a personalised boarding pass upon check-in that marks the beginning of their make-believe space adventure with Novotel.

Thereafter, the fun begins. With the use of an exclusive Snapchat Lens, guests can suit up as Buzz Lightyear, or pose with the animated character in the lobby via an augmented reality photoshoot scene.

Children will receive a special Lightyear activity kit comprising colouring cards, games and stickers. Guests can also request for a star projector that will cast images of the constellations onto their room’s walls and ceilings for an immersive outer space experience.

Families are given complimentary accommodation and breakfast for up to two children under the age of 16 in their room, or they can opt to book a second “family extra room” at a 50% discount.

Accor members are invited to use their points to redeem a family stay featuring space-themed activities that may even include a private screening of the movie at select Novotel locations.
