Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, is set to reopen on 8 September 2023, following a six-month transformation.

The rejuvenated 36-year-old hotel blends Singapore's distinct nature, cultural heritage, and architectural traditions, offering what it dubs an "Exceptionally Singapore" experience, especially with its easy access to Marina Bay's financial hub, luxury boutiques, and other popular Singapore landmarks.

“As we reopen, we are excited to bring the soul of Singapore to life through our transformation, weaving together Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service and the rich tapestry of local culture, delivering an immersive Singapore experience to our guests,” says Philipp Knuepfer, general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Singapore & area vice president operations.

The transformation was led by designer Jeffrey Wilkes, who drew inspiration from Singaporean elements such as Peranakan style architecture, black and white houses, and Angsana trees.

Phillip Knuepfer, GM of Mandarin Oriental, Singapore & area vice president operations, is excited about the hotel's transformation into an immersive Singapore experience.

The hotel's 510 rooms and suites blur the lines between indoors and outdoors, with each room's design reflecting the scenic views outside. Luxury living is redefined in 42 suites, including the Presidential Suite and the Royal Marina Bay Penthouse, offering panoramic views and spacious living areas. Residential suites cater to longer stays, while Residential Family Suites feature themed interiors for young travellers.

Public spaces, like the lobby and HAUS 65 lounge, offer tranquility for guests to unwind at over tea or tipples. Reimagined dining experiences include embu, a garden-style all-day dining concept with an adjoining playground for the kiddos to expand their energy while parents indulge in the restaurant’s international fare; and The Mandarin Cake Shop that serves finely crafted pastries and afternoon tea.

And of course, Mandarin Oriental, Singapore will not be complete without its iconic, award-winning MO BAR that makes a grand return with an innovative cocktail collection.

The hotel is also an ideal venue for events, with luxurious spaces like the Oriental Ballroom. Beyond the hotel's walls, guests can explore unique offerings like private Peranakan cooking classes and Vespa sidecar adventures.

In celebration of its grand opening, guests can enjoy exclusive benefits through the Exceptionally Singapore package, including curated local experiences and room upgrades.
