The annual awards ceremony celebrates exceptional service in the luxury wellness and fine dining industries. At this year’s edition, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, in particular, won top honours in three categories — testament to the resort’s varied dining concepts.
The resort’s flagship bar, Department of Chemistry, was awarded a global prize for the Most Romantic Atmosphere — and it makes sense, considering the fact that it overlooks the idyllic Emerald Bay and Bai Khem beach, renowned for its lush white sand. The bartenders — or ‘chemists’ as they are known around here — will even serve up drinks in test tubes and beakers, thoroughly staying true to the theme.
Tempus Fugit, the resort’s all-day restaurant, earned top honours in the Luxury Interior Design/Architecture Asia category, what with its three distinctive dining experiences in an open kitchen layout. It also helps that the restaurant spots interactive chefs that will showcase their skills in Vietnamese, Japanese and French cooking right in front of guests.
Finally, Pink Pearl, the resort’s striking beachfront mansion and fine-dining restaurant that serves up exquisite French cuisine, took home the prize for Luxury Resort Restaurant Vietnam.
