Guests at the 473-room InterContinental Kuala Lumpur can now enjoy an
assorted array of Asian fusion canapés and deserts, alongside free flow
cocktails and other refreshments at the newly relaunched Club
Intercontinental.
Those staying in the hotel's Classic Club rooms and suites will be
able to access to the club on the 26th floor where they can opt to have a
more intimate breakfast (as opposed to dining in the dedicated
breakfast space with other guests). The club also offers all-day
canapés, afternoon tea and evening cocktails.
There is also a private meeting room and complimentary WiFi. To enjoy
further exclusivity, guests booked in the respective rooms and suites
will be able to comfortably enjoy a more hassle-free check-in and
check-out process at the venue.
With an all-new top management comprising mainly of Malaysians, the
hotel hopes to spotlight Malaysian hospitality in the hotel industry.
Spearheading the team is Meera Raj, the first Malaysian women to be
appointed general manager of InterContinental Kuala Lumpur.
The hotel's transitional phase of moving away from the pandemic and
reopening to international guests is labelled as "re-defining luxury" by
Raj, as she believes that returning guests will find elements they
remember from before, with the addition of more enhancements tailored to
their liking.
“We're treating it a bit like a new hotel opening and reviewing all
our products and services. We're retraining all staff on the
fundamentals of luxury and looking into how we can further personalise
stays," Raj said. "Our Concierge network is also back in place and we're
looking to ensure that our guests are able to craft their own memories
with us.
"Our restaurants and bars support this effort by sourcing the best
produce - one could leave the meal up to the chef at Tatsu (our
signature Japanese Restaurant) and be dazzled by the selection of the
day from sashimi to the freshest musk melon from Japan, to my personal
favourite: home-made mochi,” added Raj.
