Hong Kong is seeing a flurry of hotel openings, with Singapore-based
Fullerton Hotels and Resorts debut its first-ever property in the city
while Accor adding a second hotel under its MGallery portfolio in the
city.
The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong

All rooms, from the standard guestroom to the suites, come with ocean-facing views.
The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts' first-ever resort has just opened
its doors on 18 July on the south side of Hong Kong Island, right
alongside the coastline of the South China Sea.
Also the group's first property in Hong Kong, all 425 spacious guest
rooms at The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong offer panoramic views
of the sea. In addition, two top-level signature suites both feature a
private pool and an expansive outdoor terrace, and nine kids-themed
rooms for families with young children in tow.
The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong houses five different dining
concepts. Jade, the signature Chinese restaurant of The Fullerton Hotel
Singapore, offers a Cantonese fine dining experience. For contemporary
and unique dining experiences, there’s the Lighthouse Lounge, Lighthouse
Café and Satay Inn. Giardino, an oceanfront Italian restaurant, will
soon open later this year.
A 24-hour gym, luxury spa and infinity pool cater to guests’ wellness
demands. Other activities to do both from and within the hotel can be
discovered at the F.U.N. Desk where a range of Fun, Unique,
Neighbourhood and Nature-immersive programmes can be curated for all
guests, including an educational experience for children to learn about
marine life and sustainability.
The waterfront resort can be accessed via a 15-minute drive from Hong
Kong's CBD. Guests staying at the hotel can look forward to visiting
the nearby Water World Ocean Park, enjoying the bustling Southside
neighbourhood, exploring Aberdeen’s multiple beaches and hiking trails,
or immersing in the area’s culture at historical temples, fishing
market, or art galleries.
AKI Hong Kong – MGallery

All rooms are furnished with lofty ceilings, natural wood tones, and artful mood lighting, to contribute to a calming stay for guests.
The launch of the 173-key AKI Hong Kong - MGallery in Wanchai comes
hot on the heels of the Silveri Hong Kong, Accor's first MGallery’s
hotel in the city which opened its doors to guests last month.
Guestrooms at the new boutique hotel are designed with a modern
minimalist aesthetic with broad windows that overlook the city, with
some rooms boasting 270-degree panoramas of the Hong Kong cityscape. All
rooms feature premium king-sized beds, flat-screen TVs and bathroom
amenities from Malin+Goetz in biodegradable bottles. There are 20
exclusive Japanese style tatami rooms featuring mattresses on tatami mat
floors.
Rooms at AKI Hong Kong - MGallery are also equipped with smart living
technology that allows guests to adjust the blinds, curtains, and
temperature via a tablet control panel. When guests leave the room, the
smart living technology will also automatically close the blinds and
shut off air conditioning to conserve energy.
AKI Hong Kong houses two F&B options. Tangram restaurant serves
up a range of interactive breakfasts and lively bento box lunches by
day, and small plates, international tapas and ‘Japas’ for dinner, with
a buzzy evening sake bar at night.
Uncle Ming’s Whisky Bar, on the 25th floor, stocks more than 80
international whiskies alongside sake, fine wines and champagne, where
guests can engage the residential sommelier to guide them through a
whisky tasting experience.
Amenities within the hotel include an open-concept co-working space, a
24-hour gym and the Lobby Lounge serving organic foods and fresh
juices.
The shopping district of Causeway Bay and the Hong Kong Convention
and Exhibition Centre can be accessed via a 10-minute walk from AKI Hong
Kong. Nearby landmarks that are conveniently accessible also include
the Hong Kong Arts Centre, Tamar Park, Wanchai Heritage Trail, and the
many restaurants and bars of Lockhart Road.
