Sitting atop Takashimaya Shopping Mall in Ho Chi Minh City's centre, the 99-room Fusion Original Saigon Centre has started welcoming guests since July, marking it as the first Fusion Originals property under the Fusion hotel group.
These 99 units encompass 10 floors in the mixed-use development, offering panoramic views over District 1. The hotel exudes a playful, youthful vibe with walls painted in bold colours and floor-to-ceiling art pieces of Vietnamese women in traditional ao dai.

There’s also a full-length outdoor swimming pool located on the sixth floor with a garden area, and a separate lounge area that gives guests a quiet place to relax.

Fusion is currently exploring rolling out more properties in other locations around Vietnam under the Fusion Originals brand. Like the Fusion Original Saigon Centre, any upcoming Fusion Originals hotels will focus on local trends. However, each property will have its own unique identity and will be original in its own right, just like its brand name suggests.
“We plan to aggressively grow the Fusion Originals brand, as well as other portfolio brands and investment initiatives as the travel market, rebound strongly in Vietnam and Southeast Asia,” said Christopher Hur, president of Lodgis, the parent company.
Fusion Originals is one of Fusion’s eight hospitality brands. The hotel group also recently added Thai-based GLOW Hotels & Resorts to its collection, as they continue their regional expansion. Fusion currently has over 4,000 rooms in Vietnam and Thailand with this new Saigon opening and the GLOW acquisition.
