After announcing plans to jump into the hospitality sector earlier this year, fashion magazine Elle has opened its first hotel.
The Maison Elle Paris is located within the city's 17th
arrondissement, near the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysees. It is a
revamp of the former Hotel Flanelles Paris.
The 25-room boutique property houses a spa with a steam room, sauna
and yoga studio, as well as a retail store stocked with a selection of
accessories, clothing, bathrobes and more. Guests also have access to a
lounge and library area, where refreshments such as tea, pastries and
cocktails are served.
The hotel's refresh, spearheaded by interior design agency Laurent
& Laurence, draws inspiration from Parisian fashion icons like Coco
Chanel, Yves Saint-Laurent and Jean-Paul Gaultier, showcasing a mix of
tartan, tweed, flannel, denim and other textiles.
The flagship Elle brand is on display, with 70 pieces of artwork from Elle magazine's archives adorning the property's walls.
Rates at the Maison Elle start at $250 euros per night.
Plans for additional Maison Elle properties in Europe and Southeast
Asia are in the works. A Maison Elle project in Bangkok is already under
development.
In addition to Maison Elle, Elle Hospitality is preparing the launch
of a second, higher-end hospitality concept, Elle Hotel. The brand's
first property is expected to open next summer in Jalisco, Mexico.
