Possibly a package for a perfect proposal or anniversary celebration,
Minor Hotels’ Anantara Angkor Resort offers a private temple dining
experience for heritage lovers in the lesser known sites of Angkor Wat
in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Priced approximately US$7,540 for two persons, the package features
Anantara’s signature Dining by Design where guests can dine beneath a
starry sky in the central sanctuary of a hidden temple in Angkor Wat
surrounded by a lush jungle.
“With two striking venues to choose from – Prasat Kravan, a
10th-century temple dedicated to Vishnu, and elegant Thommanon temple
that is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site – travellers have
additional freedom when designing their private temple dining experience
with Anantara Angkor Resort,” it said.
Guests would be served a five-course Khmer or Western dinner by a
dedicated team, consisting of a butler, chef and a full housekeeping
staff, as they take in stories of ancient Angkor civilisation recreated
by graceful Apsara dancers or a high-energy theatrical performance.
The package includes a 30-minute pre-dinner cocktail with free-flow
soft drinks, chilled juices and canapés, traditional welcome from a
drum-dance troupe and guard with a monkey on arrival, and candle- and
torch-lit pathway.
