The arrival of Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur in the Malaysian
capital marks the readiness and growing portfolio of the upscale
sustainability-oriented brand under Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG).
Following in the footsteps of its biophilic sister properties in
Singapore, Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay
and Parkroyal Collection Pickering, this upscale hotel in Kuala Lumpur
showcases elegance, originality, and a strong commitment to
sustainability.
Launched in 2022,
the 527-room hotel resides in the heart of Bukit Bintang, within a
mixed-use complex owned by Singapore-listed UOL Group Limited, the
parent company of PPHG. Adjoining this hotel is Pan Pacific Serviced
Suites Kuala Lumpur, another property under PPHG.

Inviting garden theme
Upon arrival, I was immediately greeted by a serene ambiance in the
inviting garden-themed lobby. The open-concept check-in counter stood
against a lush leafy backdrop, providing an eye-catching centrepiece for
any visitor stepping into the hotel. With an abundance of leafy motifs
and air-purifying plants tucked in many corners throughout the hotel,
Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur accentuated the sense of a tranquil
oasis in the bustling capital.
Eco-friendly in-room comfort

My95sqm Signature Suite exuded a contemporary residential charm with
its neutral colour palette of wood and soothing grey tones. It came with
a separate living room, a spacious executive work area, and a plush
King-size bed that ensured a good night’s sleep, while the
glass-panelled windows provided fantastic skyline views of Bukit
Bintang.
An impressive feature worth mentioning is the filtered drinking
system in each guestroom, with the filtered water tap conveniently
located in the en-suite bathroom, which makes staying hydrated a breeze
and eliminates the need for single-use plastic bottles. Moreover, the
bathroom amenities from Australian skincare brand Appelles come in
biodegradable packaging, showcasing a commitment to environmental
consciousness.

If clients need more space, suggest the 154sqm Parkroyal Collection
Suite with its private dining room and kitchen. Families with young
children will delight in the colourful Signature Family Suite, offering a
bunk bed and play area, as well as a choice of themes including sky,
sweets, animals, or trains.
Where the good food and amenities are
Thyme, the all-day restaurant on the lower ground floor, serves up
Asian and international cuisines with sustainably sourced local seasonal
ingredients. The wide spread of Asian and international food choices
certainly felt indulgent, while its versions of Malaysian favourites,
nasi lemak and laksa, really hit the right notes for authenticity and
tastiness.

The Botanist Lounge & Bar offers a refreshing setting for relaxing in the lobby.
With its sleek wooden panelling, plush armchairs and glass walls
adorned with drinks and tropical flora, the Botanist Lounge & Bar
offers a captivating setting for relaxing in the lobby. The Lemon Tree,
another charming spot, tempts guests with pastries and coffee.
Well-being takes centre stage on level 6, where the gymnasium,
fitness studio, and St Gregory Spa – Pan Pacific’s spa brand – offer
rejuvenation. The outdoor swimming pool, resembling a resort with
cabanas by the water’s edge, is an inviting area to lounge or enjoy tiny
bites from the Skye Chill.

The hotel’s meeting venues echo its nature-inspired theme, with the
Collection Ballroom and Garden Ballroom being the biggest spaces,
accommodating up to 475 pax and 500 pax respectively. Smaller meeting
rooms, named after tropical flora such as Rafflesia, Begonia, Ixora and
Lotus, continue the theme.
Location, location, location
Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur’s strategic location at Jalan
Sultan and Jalan Imbi is hard to beat, not to mention its close
proximity to Kuala Lumpur’s downtown icons of Berjaya Times Square,
Pavilion shopping centre and Jalan Alor Food Street. The nearby Bukit
Bintang MRT station and easy access to taxi/Grab services further
enhance convenience.
In essence, Parkroyal Collection Kuala Lumpur is certainly a sophisticated, eco-oriented address in a great location.
