Hyatt's newest resort, Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, has opened its
doors on the Raa Atoll, accessible by a 45-minute ride via seaplane from
Malé.
Housed on a 11.2 hectare private island, this resort comprises of 80
pool villas, of which 44 line the beach while 36 are perched overwater
with direct access to the sea. Each villa also comes with a private pool
and sun deck.
Amenities in the resort consists of the infinity pool, a fitness
centre and Play Alila kids’ club. Guests can dine at the all-day Seasalt
restaurant, sip cocktails at Mirus Bar, grab light bites at Pibati Café
or indulge in Japanese-inspired menus at Umami.
Activities offered by the resort feature a three-hour sailing in a
traditional Maldivian boat around the Raa Atoll followed by a private
dining experience, and an array of water activities organised by marine
guides at the resort’s water sports and dive centre.
Alternatively, guests can arrange with the resort’s concierge to
venture out to the nearby Hanifaru Bay UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve to
get up close with manta rays, or visit the neighbouring Vaadhoo Island
to witness the bioluminescent phenomenon that light up waters during
incoming tides.
The resort is still undergoing finishing renovation works until end
June, but guests are already welcomed to book Alila Kothaifaru Maldives’
villas.
